For your apology to be noted on minutes, you will need to have supplied via email in advance of meeting. A completed Proxy form will need to have been deposited with the Secretary prior to the commencement of the meeting OR via email before 5pm on 31 August, 2021.

 

Arts Nexus Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation, founded in 1995 and incorporated in May 1996 as the inclusive umbrella body for all arts, cultural and creative industries in FNQ.  Arts Nexus aims to connect creative industries, organisations, communities, and stakeholders to ensure that the arts industry remains a significant partner in the cultural, social, and economic development of the FNQ region.

Our organisational purpose, as reflected in our Constitution, is to:

  • Establish new networks and maintain relationships
  • Foster and advocating cultural development values and practice
  • Be a focal point for collaborative development and promotion
  • Ensure policy, regional planning and program design is driven by bipartisan, grass roots and community interests
  • Facilitate increased creative industry capacity including professional skills development
  • Stimulate and support for development of innovative service and products, collaborative showcase presentation and industry marketing
  • Lead industry image development
  • Participate in industry cluster and best practice industry building initiatives.

Current financial members of Arts Nexus are invited to attend the annual general meeting or the organisation and participate in the election of the 2021 Management Committee to be held at Cominos House at 6pm Tuesday 31st August, 2021

Nomination forms are now available from the website or via email [email protected] and required to be submitted by 5pm 17th August, 2021.

Nominees and their statements will be listed on the Arts Nexus website and available via email from the 24th August 2021. 

If you are unable to attend the Annual General meeting, you can nominate another person that will be attending the meeting, via a proxy to vote on your behalf.  Proxy forms available on the Arts Nexus website from the 9th August 2021.  All forms should be sent via email, ATTENTION TO: the Secretary at [email protected]

NOTE: To nominate, you must be a current financial member.  If you have not been a member before, your membership must have been approved at a board meeting PRIOR to the AGM on the 31 August, 2021
